Crystal Palace have lost their appeal against YANNICK BOLASIE's red card against Hull on Saturday.

The winger was sent off after a lunge on Jake Livermore on the edge of the box during Palace's 1-0 victory at the KC Stadium.

Most observers felt it was a yellow card at worst but referee Anthony Taylor deemed otherwise and the Eagles were unable to overturn the subsequent three-game ban.

A brief statement on the FA's official website read: "The claim in relation to BOLASIE, who was dismissed for serious foul play during his side's match at Hull City on Saturday, was unsuccessful.

"Therefore, his three-match ban remains with immediate effect."

BOLASIE will have to sit out the visit to Norwich on Saturday plus fixtures against West Ham and Cardiff.
